Eyebrow Piercing
Can be pierced with a ball closure ring (BCR) or barbell, vertical or horizontal.
As the lacrimal glands / tearducts sit behind the frontal bone, piercings in this area cause no damage to these organs.
Aftercare Information for Eyebrow Piercings
Aftercare for body piercings is vitally important. Please read the following information carefully to ensure that the risk of infection is minimised.
* Do not touch the piercing on the first day.
* The entrance holes will need cleaning with a saline solution twice a day for at least four months. You can make your own saline solution using one litre of boiled water and one teaspoon of unbleached sea salt.
* Do not pick at scabs as this will cause unnecessary bleeding. Scabs prevent entry of bacteria which could cause infection; scabs will fall away when ready.
* During the healing process, do not take the jewellery out to clean. If prolonged or major irritation occurs, consult your GP.
* Punktured recommends waiting at least four months before changing the jewellery.
Healing times vary from person to person depending on many factors such as diet, lifestyle and stress. If you are concerned at all, contact us and we will be happy to help and answer any questions you may have.
