Tongue Piercing Information
The tongue is a muscular organ of which the surface contains nerve endings / taste buds. Taste buds lie mainly at the back, front and sides of the tongue, and as piercings are usually situated down the centre of the tongue, taste buds are avoided. The tongue is connected to the floor of the mouth by a fold of mucous membrane called the frenulum, this too can be pierced.
Please note; Punktured pierces the medial sulca and avoids veins.
